M. Gilligan Holotype From collection: USNM Notes: r.f. Solidago. Dyar (1903) formalized this name in his list of North American Lepidoptera by designating a type. Riley's (1888) original description of Paedisca obfuscata was inadequate and hence must be regarded as a nomen nudum (Heinrich 1923).
